“SIT Lab” is a channel that introduces laboratories at Shibaura Institute of Technology (Tokyo, Japan), which has diverse research fields. In the 19th lecture, Professor Midori SUGAYA, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, College of Engineering, will talk about "Biological information reveals what is going on in the mind that even the patients themselves not aware of". Currently, psychiatric care relies on medical interviews as a basis for diagnosis, but it is difficult to accurately convey one's emotions. To solve this problem, we have succeeded in machine learning of personal emotions with 100% accuracy by selecting features based on biometric information, such as heartbeat and EEG, and calculating their importance.
