【SIT Lab Vol.17】Non-roting drill created from vibration-observing technology

“SIT Lab” is a channel that introduces laboratories at Shibaura Institute of Technology (Tokyo, Japan), which has diverse research fields.
In the 17th lecture, Professor Sakai Yasunori, Department of Machinery and Control Systems, College of Systems Engineering and Science.

A damper is a vibration isolation mechanism. Applying this technology, He came up with the idea of a "non-rotating" drill that excels in micromachining by making it move in a translational motion.
