We believe that globally minded human resources should understand and appreciate the unique customs and values of other countries so that they can live and co-work together with people with various backgrounds. At the same time, they should have their own identities and enough knowledge about their own background, culture, history and society. Otherwise, they cannot recognize the differences of the people or respect the identities of those people.
Gunma University is taking various initiatives to foster global human resources from three perspectives: language education, student exchange overseas, and the promotion of the Global Frontier Leader Program. Also we are implementing a minor degree program where international students as well as Japanese students can learn Japanology and various global issues together all in English.
