What is the JIGE
Internship Program?

Blended Mobility

Kansai University, Chiba University, and Tohoku University jointly applied to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) for the "FY2023 Support for Creation of Inter-University Exchanges with US Universities using COIL/VE style education".
The project was adopted as "Development of Society 5.0 human resources and creation of their infrastructure by the Blended Mobility Project (BMX)".

The JIGE Internship Program targets future human resources who can play an active role in the Society 5.0 era, equipped with independence, problem-finding and problem-solving skills, as well as the communication, cross-cultural, and continuity skills necessary to realize these skills, in addition to foreign language skills.

Through the JIGE internship program, students will experience cross-disciplinary exchanges and cultivate the ability to make total judgments and create ideas and imaginations that cannot be achieved alone in the context of "cross-cultural" interactions, and each student will acquire employability skills required in Japan and abroad by demonstrating social practice of academic knowledge. The goal is for each student to acquire the employability skills required in Japan and abroad by demonstrating the social practice of academic principles.
