[Fundamentals A] Data literacy in a digital society

■Course outline
"Data thinking" refers to the ability to think, make decisions, and express oneself using data. It is not only about acquiring basic knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and computer processing to properly understand the data around us but also about utilizing data to link it to social value and simultaneously using data for thinking critically, grasping social phenomena, and enhancing decision-making. This course, using real examples of the society surrounding us, such as sports, environment, daily living, and business, will explain in an easy-to-understand manner the contents of data literacy that fosters "data thinking," which is the reading, writing, and arithmetic (the three Rs) of the digital society.
