【Lecture Introduction】 Lectures on Chinese Language at National Taiwan University

The following is a digest of lectures on the Chinese language offered at National Taiwan University. Below we introduce three lectures:
・General Chinese Language Course(1)
・Business Chinese
・Chinese Enhancing Course(1)
Many international students participate in each of these courses, allowing students to learn practical Chinese used in a variety of situations, including business and daily life. Classes are taught primarily in Chinese, with English used as a supplement when necessary.
If you are interested in Chinese or would like to use it in the future, please take a look at these videos. In the latter half of each video, there is an interview with an international student who is actually attending the lecture, so please take a look at that as well.

Content/学習内容

  • General Chinese Language Course(1)

    Summary

This lecture provides a comprehensive study of the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, helping students to live their daily lives without language barriers. Students will also deepen their understanding of the Chinese language and Taiwanese culture through interaction and discussion in the classroom. This course is recommended for those who wish to acquire basic communication skills for daily life and be able to use the knowledge learned in the lectures to communicate their thoughts clearly.
  • Business Chinese

    Summary

In this lecture, in addition to existing Chinese language skills, students will develop the ability to use newly acquired business vocabulary in actual business situations. Although the content is more practical and the level of Chinese is higher than in the General Chinese Language Course (1), it will lead to a deeper understanding of the Chinese language by providing clear situations in which it will be used.
  • Chinese Enhancing Course(1)

    Summary

This lecture provides further improvements in the high-level skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing at a high level. Students will not only be able to communicate smoothly in daily life, but also broaden their language skills by learning new vocabulary and grammar that are not often used in daily conversation. This is one of the best lectures to improve your Chinese language skills from the basics.
