In order to cultivate young researchers and encourage the nation’s future academic talents to devote themselves to long-term academic research and continuously improve their scholarly performance, the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) established the Wu Ta-You Memorial Award, in memory of Dr. Wu Ta-You’s contributions to the development of science and technology research.

For the year 2025 (Academic Year 114), National Taiwan University has a total of 11 faculty members receiving this award. Their research fields are diverse, and the entire NTU community shares the honor of these young faculty members’ outstanding achievements.

The awardees are:

• Chang-Min Yu, Associate Professor, Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, College of Liberal Arts (Film Studies)

• Yao-Ho Shih, Associate Professor, Department of Agricultural Economics, College of Bioresources and Agriculture (Environmental and Natural Resources)

• Chih-Chien Lin, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering (Civil and Hydraulic Engineering)

• Po-An Lin, Assistant Professor, Department of Entomology, College of Bioresources and Agriculture (Plant Protection, Soil and Environmental Protection)

• Shao-Hua Sun, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Intelligent Computing)

• Ching-Ying Kuo, Associate Professor, Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Medical Biotechnology, College of Medicine (Parasitology, Medical Technology and Laboratory Diagnostics)

• Cheng-Wei Chen, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Automation)

• Chi-An Cheng, Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy, College of Medicine (Pharmacy)

• Kuo-Yen Huang, Assistant Professor, Master’s Program in Precision Health, College of Key Technologies (Pulmonology)
