What is the purpose of the proposed education platform, and what are its future prospects and policies? Is it for students in or outside of Japan -- and what are the similarities and differences with JMOOC?
The JV-Campus platform is positioned as a portal for providing higher education both in and outside of Japan.
It is similar to JMOOC in that courses are delivered on demand in accordance with the objectives of each institution. It differs in that it is a project led by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology with participation from many universities in Japan. Students can take courses and programs across universities participating in JV-Campus through various means, such as by creating a “Strategic Package Box.”
Additionally, participating institutions can hold online events such as online study abroad fairs.
