Global Health and Nursing - Summer
To enroll in this course, you must be a member of an eligible institution and have permission from your institution to take the course.
How to take a course.
STEP 01
Check each course's introduction page to see if your institution is eligible (JIGE overseas partner university, etc.).
STEP 02
Obtain an application code for MCP courses from the contact person at each university, etc.
STEP 03
Click the "Application" on each course introduction page to open the application form and fill in the necessary information.
STEP 04
The contact person at each university will coordinate the registrants and contact those who have received final approval to participate.
STEP 05
Those who have received permission emails will receive notification of how to log in and participate in the MCP course of their choice approximately one week prior to the start of each course.
STEP 06
A certificate of completion (micro-credential) will be issued upon completion of the course.
STEP 07
Stock and post micro-credentials or electronic proof of completion on your own account on JV-campus (can also be posted on other social networking and other platforms).

Society 5.0 & Global Leadership
The course will also examine the evolving landscape of global leadership in the context of Society 5.0. Students will assess leadership models and strategies required to navigate the complexities of a hyper-connected world, fostering collaboration, resilience, and ethical decision-making on a global scale. Emphasis will be placed on understanding cultural nuances, fostering inclusive leadership, and leveraging diverse perspectives to drive innovation and sustainable development.

SKILLS FOR SOCIETY 5.0
In 2016 the Japanese government introduced the concept of Society 5.0 in which various technologies and artificial intelligence will be utilized to create Japan’s sustainable future. In this vision, understanding Society 5.0 core skills will be pivotal for future employability. As technology becomes indispensable, transcending from an asset to a necessity, the working environment is transformed, fostering global connections and remote collaborations. This course equips learners with essential tools for success, encompassing critical thinking, digital literacy, intercultural collaboration, communication and presentation skills. Focusing on collaborative projects with international peers, it integrates synchronous activities with engaging multimedia and asynchronous materials. Recognizing the omnipresence of AI, this course emphasizes the significance of comprehending its role in shaping Society 5.0 and beyond.

Intercultural Branding Design Project
The cultural characteristics of each region will be researched from a design perspective, and participants will share and learn online in advance. After that, they will hold rebranding design workshops in Japan and the United States, taking into account the respective cultural backgrounds, and propose the final results.
