Advanced exploration and analysis of selected topics in international relations.

Advanced exploration and analysis of selected topics in international relations. Based on the instructor’s experience of serving as Japanese Ambassador to the United Nations, the key challenges of the United Nations and the role of Japan in multilateral diplomacy will be lectured. In response to the challenges reflected, comments and questions will be raised from the class and the faculty of international relations to fill the gap between diplomatic practices and international relations theory. Then, discussions of main points will be deepened to draw implications for the future in multilateralism.
