YOKOHAMA-SXIP Special Lecture on the ‘UNESCO’s Global Actions in Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development

Yokohama National University (YNU) held a Special Lecture on the ‘UNESCO’s Global Actions in Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development as a part of *YOKOHAMA-SXIP Program.

Dr. Miguel, former Professor at Division of Natural Environment and Information, Faculty of Environment and Information Sciences, YNU, was the Director of Division of Ecological and Earth Sciences, and Secretary of the Man and the Biosphere Programme, UNESCO.
He introduces the World Heritage Sites, Biosphere Reserves and Geoparks, provides and discusses some case studies concerning the fight against plastic pollution, the use of wind and solar energy and sustainable transport systems in biosphere reserves.
