Fukushima Revitalization Lecture Series

The “Fukushima Revitalization Lecture Series” course is a subject that looks at how the Fukushima Hamadori region has been recovering and revitalizing itself since the Great East Japan Earthquake and the accident at the Tokyo Electric Power Company's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in 2011, what the issues are, and what kind of initiatives will be needed in the future. The course consists of lectures by experts and various stakeholders involved in the recovery and revitalization of the Fukushima Hamadori region. The goal of the course is to cultivate a foundation for considering the future of recovery and revitalization by grasping the overall basic information on the initiatives and knowledge in each area. *All 15 lectures will be released sequentially by the end of the 2024 academic year. Lecturers: Masami Asano (President of Asano Nenshi Co., Ltd.), Ryoko Ando (Director of Fukushima Dialogue), Yoshiyuki Ishizaki (HNIU), Hiroyuki Uchida (Mayor of Iwaki City), Hiroshi Umezawa (Fukushima National College of Technology), Yuji Owada (Fukushima International Research and Education Organization), Riken Komatsu (community activist), Shigekazu Suzuki (NITFC), Tokyo Electric Power Company, Incorporated Fukushima Daiichi Decommissioning Engineering Company, Takayuki Nakamura (HNIU), Shinya Hashimoto (NITFC), Masayuki Fukusako (HNIU), Koetsu Yamazaki (Fukushima International Research and Education Organization), and Shunichi Yamashita (vice president of Fukushima Medical University)
