Learn to envisage and create a better future at the University of Tsukuba.
The University of Tsukuba is a future-oriented institution, and we have always sought to be an open university offering interdisciplinary education aimed at fostering internationally minded people. With faculties covering humanities, sciences, sports, and art, we are a university in the true sense of the original Latin meaning "the whole," and aim to nurture tomorrowʼs global leaders through a broad-ranging pursuit of academic excellence. Indeed, we seek to leverage our position in center of Tsukuba, Japanʼs world-leading research hub, to promote harmonious coexistence among all humankind.

In collaboration with developing and emerging countries, this center promotes Japan's outgoing international educational cooperation and collaborative research that meets the needs of partner countries and target regions, and provides high-quality education that is internationally accepted. In particular, APEC leads the projects of the Human Resource Development Working Group and Education Network, and the South East Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) contributes to various projects as a partner organization. Currently, we are developing research that goes into the educational system, contents, and methods, such as the development of teaching materials for mathematics / science education / information education, International Baccalaureate education, and special needs education.
