Understanding the IPCC AR6 WG3 - Session 1 — Mitigation: Reducing the Amount of GHGs in the Atmosphere —

This lecture will focus on exciting ways humans can both reduce the amount of new GHGs we are adding to the atmosphere and remove them from the air for safe storage. Solar panels and wind turbines now economically harness the sun’s energy. And this energy can be effectively used in smart cities and homes using IoT and energy storage (e.g., batteries). Even coal can be part of the solution, creating hydrogen for energy use and pure CO2 that can be combined with some types of rocks to create different rocks, locking up the CO2 for millions of years.
