The online course "Educational Practices to Promote Inquiry-Based Learning for the 21st Century Inspired by the International Baccalaureate Program" is part of the SEAMEO School Network Program and is composed by 4 lessons. These 4 videos were produced by CRICED-University of Tsukuba with the help of Ms Umetsu Shizuko and the collaboration of invited guest Carol Inugai Dixon. The videos are open for all the participants and are in English. In this course, we will explore how 21st century skills, such as critical thinking skills, can be developed in students studying in IB programmes. By experiencing the various activities provided in the lectures, and by participating in the following discussions participants are introduced to a TOK approach to learning and an understanding of why it is relevant to current times. This course consists of four lessons as follows:1. The changing face of education; 2. Diversity and Multiple perspectives; 3. A theory of knowledge approach; and 4. IB and International mindedness.
