About excavation and research methods of archeological sites in previous archeology

Archaeological research is a fieldwork and indoor work. Fieldwork includes archeological sites, excavation, and surveys. The Chiba University Archaeological Laboratory is also conducting excavations of archeological sites during the summer vacation. For example, there is the Minamiboso city Fukanasebatake site and Tunan town Okinohara site. Both are famous village ruins, mainly in the middle of the Jomon period. In addition, in the Oyu Stone circles, Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture, three -dimensional surveying and observing are performed to promote structural elucidation. In addition, we will also conduct research from materials survey of excavated relics and analysis of excavation reports. Observe relics and observe production techniques, patterns, traces of use, etc. In addition, the age and production area are estimated by physics analysis of the adherence of the material and the material itself. The excavation report is a secondary material of the archeological site, but is an important material in research. We will explain these research methods.
