Creating a society where comrades around the world can collaborate and work together

We operate the website "WA.SA.Bi. (Wasabi)," which provides and exchanges a wide range of information on studying abroad in Japan, employment at Japanese-affiliated companies, cross-cultural experiences in business manners and daily life, and more. Offline, we organize events such as job search seminars, business workshops, guidance sessions, and joint company briefing sessions specifically for foreigners in collaboration with government, industry, academia, and financial sectors.

As a nationally and regionally recognized hub for industry–academia–government collaboration

Mori Kosan Co., Ltd. has been selected by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as a “Regional Future-Driving Company” and is a company that puts into practice the development of an ecosystem for highly skilled foreign professionals.
Our business model goes beyond simple talent placement. It is founded on the practical implementation of industry–academia–government–finance collaboration, organically connecting the national government, local authorities, financial institutions, and the industrial sector.

Policy Collaboration with Government and Industry
In the public sector, we serve as an implementation partner for public policy initiatives, beginning with our role as a contractor for a model project commissioned by the Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry. We have also concluded cooperation agreements and business partnerships with major local governments, including Osaka Prefecture, Hyogo Prefecture, and Amagasaki City, contributing to the resolution of policy challenges.
Within the industrial sector, we act as the secretariat for projects led by the Kansai Economic Federation, thereby supporting wide-area economic revitalization.

Co-Creation Model with Regional Financial Institutions
Collaboration with financial institutions is indispensable to achieving sustainable regional economic development. We have established strong partnerships with regional financial institutions such as Amagasaki Shinkin Bank and Ikeda Senshu Bank. Through these partnerships, we operate the “Regional HR Department” initiative, providing outsourced human resources functions to address one of the most critical management challenges faced by client companies: securing human capital.

By integrating the know-how we have accumulated since our founding in developing living and settlement infrastructure, we have established a comprehensive support system that consistently assists foreign professionals from recruitment through long-term retention. This model is reflected in our contributions to the “Regional HR Department” initiative, which supports the expansion of human resources for regional companies by serving as a key hub for industry–academia–government–finance collaboration.

Expansion of a Multilingual Platform Business for Foreign Talent and Residents

“WA.SA.Bi. (wasabi)®,” developed and operated by Mori Kosan Co., Ltd., is a comprehensive multilingual platform that connects foreign nationals who wish to work and live in Japan with domestic companies and educational institutions.

As a one-stop support platform for foreign residents, WA.SA.Bi. provides comprehensive assistance covering all essential aspects of living in Japan, from job information and visa procedures to daily life consultation services.

In addition, through optimal matching of global talent, the platform accurately connects corporate needs with foreign professionals’ skills, supporting a wide range of residence statuses, including Specified Skilled Worker, Engineer / Specialist in Humanities / International Services, and other visa categories.

To ensure talent retention and effective onboarding, WA.SA.Bi. also offers education and settlement support services. These include Japanese language learning assistance and initiatives to promote cross-cultural understanding, helping to prevent post-hire mismatches and supporting long-term success.

More than just a job-matching website, WA.SA.Bi. represents a holistic platform-based business model that supports the internationalization of Japanese society as a whole.

Supporting the Full Foreign Talent Lifecycle — Acquisition, Development, and Retention — through the ‘Regional HR Department’ Initiative”

Mori Kosan Co., Ltd. plays a central role in the design and operation of a regional ecosystem that integrally manages the acquisition, development, and retention of foreign talent within the “Regional HR Department” initiative.
Our approach goes far beyond simple job matching. It is characterized by an advanced orchestration function, grounded in both quantitative and qualitative data accumulated through our proprietary platform, WA.SA.Bi.

In collaboration with local governments and economic organizations, we strategically connect foreign professionals holding residence statuses such as Specified Skilled Worker to regional industries. At the same time, we promote organizational culture transformation among host SMEs, including inclusion-focused education, thereby addressing and eliminating structural factors that hinder long-term talent retention.

Furthermore, through multilingual daily-life support services and community-building initiatives, we help foreign professionals accumulate social capital, achieving both the mitigation of social isolation and the enhancement of overall well-being within local communities.

Through the social implementation of its specialized expertise, Mori Kosan contributes to the creation of a sustainable regional economic model suited to a society facing population decline.
