2025 NTU STIPT Program: TSMC Corporate Visit & MoE Youth Travel

🎉 NTU OIA Leads 30 Students from the #German STIPT on Visits to TSMC and Nantou, Embarking on a Journey Combining Technological Foresight and Cultural Depth! 🎉 🚀 Tour of TSMC Global R&D Center and TSMC Museum of Innovation in Hsinchu 🚀 The students personally visited the TSMC Museum of Innovation and the heart of the global semiconductor leader #TSMC — its Global R&D Center. Through professional guided tours, they not only gained an in-depth understanding of TSMC's development history but also deeply appreciated its mission: "To be the trusted technology and capacity provider for the global logic IC industry for years to come." This visit also provided the students with a more concrete understanding and anticipation of the practical training content they will undertake from June to August! ⛰️ Cultural Experience in Alang Gluban, Nantou ⛰️ Leaving the cutting-edge technology behind, the students arrived at #AlangGluban in Nantou, immersing themselves in the history and culture of the Sediq people. The OIA invited Ms. Mahung Pawan, the granddaughter of the Wushe Incident hero #MonaRudo, to share with the students the profound impact of the Wushe Incident on Mona Rudo's descendants and tribal relations. Furthermore, tribal elders enthusiastically shared the precious and endangered weaving techniques and hunting culture of the #SediqTribe. Through the singing of ancient ballads and the experience of traditional dances, the students gained a deeper understanding of the unique cultural spirit and vitality of the Sediq people. 🏞️ Scenery of Sun Moon Lake (Shui-sha-lian), Nantou 🏞️ Finally, the students also visited #SunMoonLake, a famous tourist attraction in Taiwan, personally experiencing how the Shui-sha-lian area has developed into the beautiful scenic spot it is today. The picturesque scenery of the lake and mountains was fully appreciated, marking a perfect end to this enriching visit. The Semiconductor Talent Incubation Program Taiwan is a new model of transnational industry-government-academia collaboration jointly established by #NTU, the Saxon State Government of Germany, and #TSMC. Since 2023, the German government and TSMC have annually selected 30 outstanding students to come to NTU for a one-semester academic training and Chinese language learning program. Upon completion, they will proceed to TSMC's Central Taiwan Science Park for practical training.
