Multicultural Collaborative Programme om Taiwan's Marine Ecosystem Conservation

Under the collaboration between the University of Tsukuba and National Cheng Kung University, participants will understand and analyse the current challenges in Taiwan's marine ecosystem conservation through a five-day fieldwork programme in Taiwan and multicultural collaborative workshops. They will formulate solutions and create a final output in the form of a manga story based on these findings.

Content/学習内容

Day 0: Orientation
Day 1: Visit to National Museum of Natural Science (Lectures and fieldwork)
Day 2: Visit to Nanying Marine Conservation Education Center (Lectures and fieldwork)
Day 3: Visit to National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium (Lectures and fieldwork)
Day 4: Group work (Identifying and analysing challenges concerning marine ecosystem conservation, and formulating solutions. Creating manga storylines.)
Day 5: Final presentation
