The Story of the 1980 Southern Italian Earthquake by a Survivor

This video was prepared by Prof. David Alexander, a distinguished professor at University College London and Visiting Professor at Tohoku University. Prof. Alexander is a world-leading authority on disaster prevention, emergency planning and management. He was among the earliest to merge human, social, and natural sciences with disaster science, and has produced many achievements in his field. In this video, Prof. Alexander describes his own experience of the Irpinia Earthquake in southern Italy on November 23, 1980. Thank you for watching.
