Company Participation
Communicating corporate intellectual value
broadly to society and talentthrough education
A new form of corporate branding.
Concept
Corporate Intellectual Value, Delivered to Society and Talent Through Education
A company's work holds intellectual value that a simple introduction to its products or services can't fully convey: What challenges is it focused on? What thinking guides how it runs its business? What value is it trying to create for society? Behind these questions lies the knowledge, experience, and problem-solving practice a company has built up over time.
JV-Campus is a national-level online education platform built to function as an international gateway to Japanese higher education. Based on policy from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), it builds on the achievements of initiatives such as the Top Global University Project, and is positioned as the next generation of Japan's All-Japan framework.
We define JV-Campus as "the international airport terminal of education." Learners from around the world gather on this platform, engage with Japan's diverse educational content, and move forward from there into study abroad and advanced learning — with JV-Campus serving as the hub for that journey.
Within this platform, JV-Campus also gives companies a place to share their own work in an educational context. By delivering content that communicates the background of a business, its approach to social issues, its challenges in innovation, and its thinking on talent development in a way learners can understand, JV-Campus enables a new way for companies to open up their intellectual value to learners at home and abroad, and to future talent.
Benefits of Participation
Value That Reaches Both Companies and Learners
By participating in JV-Campus, companies gain an opportunity to communicate their value to society, the market, stakeholders, and future talent. Within an educational context, they can convey the awareness of challenges, expertise, and social significance behind their work — dimensions that product or service recognition alone doesn't fully capture.
For learners, JV-Campus offers more than a surface-level introduction to a company — it becomes a chance to consider how business activities connect to social issues, what work can mean, and what career possibilities might look like.
As a place where corporate intellectual value meets learning, JV-Campus creates a new opportunity to understand a company's work more deeply.
What You Can Do With a Company Box
Publish and Update Content
Post videos, materials, articles, and more, and update them as needed. A wide range of topics — new business ventures, the nature of the work, the background to R&D, and more — can be organized systematically and shared as learning content. Rather than a one-off release of information, the Box works as a foundation that keeps building over time.
Certification of Learning Outcomes
The platform goes beyond simply posting information and educational content: it can also issue Open Badges 3.0/2.0, an internationally standardized form of digital certification. This lets learners visualize their own achievements and put them to use in internships, job hunting, study abroad, and other settings.
By bringing together "communicating corporate intellectual value" and "certification of learning outcomes" into a single system, we have built a foundation that contributes directly to learners' career development. JV-Campus's Open Badge issuing system follows the guidelines of the Japan Micro-credential Consortium (JMICRO), and supports the detailed, higher-education-level metadata this requires.
Our Approach to Participation and Potential Uses
Points of Contact with Learners
Companies can post information for learners, including internship listings. Through industry overviews, career introductions, event announcements, and more, companies can give learners a reason to feel closer to them. This goes beyond recruitment PR or brand awareness — it also builds trust through education.
Multilingual, Global Outreach
Companies can share information not only in Japanese but in multiple languages, starting with English. This is effective for reaching learners overseas and international students, and useful for globally active companies looking to spread the word about their work and educational resources widely. It also holds value from the standpoint of international talent development and global branding.
The JV-Campus Secretariat supports your company from structuring educational content through to day-to-day operation.

How Companies Use JV-Campus
JV-Campus is infrastructure for sharing corporate intellectual value in an educational context. Below,
we introduce specific use cases ranging from sharing knowledge to global talent acquisition, social contribution, and opening up new fields.
Sharing Knowledge
Communicating Corporate Intellectual Value
CORPORATE KNOWLEDGE AND INNOVATION
We organize a company's business background, its approach to social issues, its challenges in innovation, and its thinking on talent development into content that's easy for learners to understand. This communicates the problem awareness that has shaped a company's knowledge, and creates points of contact with learners at home and abroad, and with future talent.
- Example content
- R&D introductions, the background to business concepts, innovation case studies, learning content based on specialized expertise, and more
Building Connections with Learners and Future Talent
Companies can make a concrete case for their specialized expertise to learners at home and abroad through learning content and information content.
Understanding Companies Through Learning
This can be used as a medium that goes beyond a simple company profile, conveying the problem awareness and expertise behind the business.
Ongoing Accumulation of Content
Published materials and articles accumulate as an archive, which also functions as a record of a company's educational activities.
Talent Engagement
Creating Connections with Talent at Home and Abroad
GLOBAL TALENT ENGAGEMENT
Companies can share their work in an educational context with learners at home and abroad who are interested in Japan or in Japanese companies. Unlike recruitment PR or exhibitions, this conveys a company's philosophy, business domain, and social significance through learning, and can be used to build an ongoing connection with future talent. It also suits educational content aimed at helping international students settle in and onboard, and at supporting internships — and, by showcasing regional and local appeal alongside career information, it offers new potential for helping talent put down roots.
- Example content
- Content for learners overseas, company introductions for international students, career-understanding content, internship information, ways to connect with international talent, and more
Talent Development Through Learning
Combining in-house training, briefings, workshops, and more with digital materials on JV-Campus can deepen understanding of the company while supporting ongoing talent development.
Promoting Career Understanding
This gives learners a chance to understand the substance of a company's work and to consider their own career possibilities.
Publish a Wide Range of Content
Beyond a company profile, businesses can also share the background to their work, their efforts on social issues, internship information, and more — supporting outreach on multiple fronts.
Showcasing Social Contribution
Connecting Social Contribution to Learning
SOCIAL IMPACT AND CONTRIBUTION
A company's work on the environment, food, healthcare, disaster prevention, local communities, the SDGs, and more can be organized into content that helps learners understand social issues. By presenting the role a company plays in society and its practical efforts toward solving problems as material for learning, this creates an entry point for the next generation of learners to think about how society and industry connect.
- Example content
- Reducing environmental impact, regional partnerships, smart agriculture, fermentation and brewing, healthcare, disaster prevention, recycled materials, sustainability initiatives, and more
As part of efforts to strengthen international outreach, some companies have used JV-Campus for joint learning with learners overseas. This also functions as global branding for the company, and has the effect of increasing its social impact.
Spreading Knowledge
Broadening Understanding of Emerging Fields
EMERGING FIELDS AND FUTURE LEARNING
Companies can publish content that conveys the fundamental knowledge, background, and social significance of new fields that will support society and industry going forward. By introducing areas not yet widely known to the public in a way that's easy for learners to understand, this can be used to build a foundation for future talent development, growing interest in the field, and industry-academia collaboration. For companies leading new industries, it's also an opportunity to broaden social awareness of their business domain, promote understanding among the market and customers, and build connections with the talent and partners that will underpin their growth.
- Example content
- Care robots, inspection and measurement, contactless diagnostics, cybernics, space utilization, next-generation mobility, new materials, AI applications, and more
