Taiwan - France Quantum Collaboration Achieves Lift-Off!
NTU officially signed an agreement on October 13, 2025, with two leading French institutions, Université Grenoble Alpes and Université Paris-Saclay, to establish the France–Taiwan Quantum Center for the Alain Aspect Program. This partnership marks a major step forward for international quantum research.
Named in honor of the 2022 Nobel_Laureate in Physics, Prof. alain aspect, this new center is a strategic platform. It is dedicated to:
▪️ Deepening France-Taiwan academic cooperation.
▪️ Driving frontier quantum technology research.
▪️ Cultivating elite quantum talent with essential global experience and practical skills.
NTU President Chen emphasized that the Center will successfully bridge the academic and industrial strengths of both nations. We owe a significant debt of gratitude to Mr. Raymond Soong
(宋恭源), Founder of LITEON TECHNOLOGY BRAZIL, whose generous sponsorship was instrumental in founding the center and supporting NTU’s long-term international development.
We are honored that Prof. Aspect, renowned for his work on quantum entanglement and an NTU honorary doctorate recipient, will continue to work closely with the three universities. He will help guide joint research and educational programs designed to mentor the next generation of Master’s and Ph.D. students in core quantum mechanics.
This center establishes a long-term foundation for global quantum research and application!
