Techniques for creating engaging characters that will stay in the reader's mind

The decisive difference between manga and novels, movies, and games is that it has characters at the center of its appeal. In this course, we will explain basic training on how to create appealing characters and develop them in the author's mind before handing them off to be cherished by readers. Building off character theory, which has been described in terms of establishing characters in manga technique books since the 1980s, a new technique independently researched by Kyoto Seika University called "Mental Cultivation" will be presented
