2026 Japan-ROK Exchange Program in Jeonju

The “Japan–Korea Exchange Program,” launched in 2021, will make its first expansion into Korea. Participants will rediscover the attractions and resources of Jeonju and the Jeonbuk region, and propose tourism product packages aimed at realizing a sustainable tourism city, as well as industrial policies that contribute to the revitalization of local industries and the regional economy. Drawing on perspectives from “small-city travel in Japan” and learning from the active engagement of Japanese companies within Korea, the program will explore ideas for regional revitalization and consider new forms of Japan–Korea exchange between local cities.
