南アジアは地域性をもちながら共通性もある独自の文化を各地で発展させてきま した。本授業では、南アジア各地の衣、食、住、信仰、医療、ウェルビーイン グ、造形、あそびとゲームなどに関わる具体的事例を扱うとともにその歴史、社 会的背景、現代的変動について幅広く論じます。これらの講義を通じて、学生は 南アジアの生活文化とデザインを考えるための基礎的視点を身につけるとともに その多様性と共通性への理解を深めます。また、授業では日本の事例も扱い、南 アジアとの比較から日本の文化、デザインを捉えなおす力も身につけます。

From the consideration of living in the living culture, deepen your understanding of the community and history that support your life.

From the consideration of clothing in life culture, deepen the understanding of pluralistic culture and changing modern South Asia.

From the consideration of food in the living culture and the artifacts that shape the culture, deepen the understanding of daily life and the formation of society.

We will consider religious practice from daily offerings to festivals and pilgrimages, and deepen our understanding of the religious aspects of daily life and their transformation.

Consider traditional medicine and modern medicine, and deepen your understanding of the pluralistic medical situation in which they are mixed.

Consider how to work with others and your outlook on life, and deepen your understanding of the form of happiness and the current issues surrounding it.

Decipher play and games as ways of reconfiguring relationships between self and others, and deepen your understanding of their potential to transform society and of the mechanisms through which they do so.

評価方法
・ オンライン・ディスカッションボードでの議論(40%)各回の講義内容に基づき実施するディスカッションボード上での議論により、講義内容の理解度を評価する。
・ 最終レポート(40%)授業で扱った内容を踏まえ、現代南アジアの文化とデザインに関する課題を自ら設定し、考察したレポートを評価する。
・ 学修への取り組み姿勢(20%)講義視聴状況、課題への取り組み、学修状況の記録等をもとに、主体的な学修姿勢を評価する。
